The Jacquemus Nike AF1 is Nothing Like You’d Imagine

 In Nike, Sneakers

The Jacquemus Nike AF1 comes as no surprise from the luxury fashion house. After serving up two custom colorways of the Nike Air Humara in 2022 as part of its Summer 2022 collection, Jacquemus joins Nike again this Summer for collaborative “J Force 1s”.

Jacquemus teased their Nike collab on their Instagram back in February with a highlighted dubrae that read “JF1.” But then a recent eBay listing surfaced first-look images of the model. Now, we have an official look at the soon-to-be coveted collaboration.

The all-new silhouette presents a French-spirited take on the Nike classic Air Force 1.

“I’ve always wanted to work on the Air Force 1, which for me are one of the most iconic Nike shoes, with a more chic and softer gaze. My ambition was to revisit the pair from a minimal standpoint, that allows it to be worn as a dress shoe with a suit. I’ve also been much inspired by climbing shoes, especially by the Nike Terra Ci ACG, that I have been collecting for years,” explains Simon Porte Jacquemus.

I don’t know shit about a suit, but when the Franch man puts it that way, I’m definitely sold!

The luxury label has put together a duo of monochromatic colorways for this innovation in “Triple White” and “Triple Black” palettes. Both appear to feature leather uppers, mesh tongues, and silver ‘JF1’ embossed lace dubraes. Swoosh-branded leather aglets give us the detailing only a luxury fashion house can offer. And my favorite part, the debossed Jacquemus co-branding on the heel tab and miniature metallic Swooshes on the side panels, echoing the design of the Humaras. As for the star of the show, a unique woven sole with wraparound nylon cording. Or as Simon himself explains it: “I liked the idea of separating the shoe in half and creating a puzzle on its unique assembly.”

Of course, Nike is no stranger to the woven sneaker movement, check out “Woven Sail”.

Looking to Cop?

You’ll be able to get your hands on the Jacquemus Nike AF1 soon enough. The release date is set for June 13th on the Jacquemus website for 170 euros (roughly 180 USD). Then on June 20th on Nike SNKRS.

As for the copping part, you know the drill. If you wanna take Ws, forget about manual copping and get yourself a Nike bot. Although it doesn’t end here— you need to hook that shit up with the right proxies and Nike accounts. Otherwise, you might as well kiss them kicks goodbye! A Nike bot like TSB can give you the fair odds you need to succeed. Good luck fam!
