Jordan 1 Igloo & Crimson Tint Take Over the Miami Arctic Scene!
Ever watched the Bugs Bunny episode where he accidentally ends up in the South Pole instead of Miami? “This don’t look like Miami beach to me, this looks more like California.” Point is, it’s what the Jordan 1 Igloo must have thought when it first dropped in conjunction with Art Basel, a Miami-based annual art gallery, in December 2017. Along with the Jordan 1 Rust Pink. Both were fly enough to score their own pop-up stand, but Art Basel? The colorway is Igloo-inspired, team. But Miami probably saw it as a melting one, which pretty much meant water. So, we get the envy. Because after the police shut down the pop-up, the launch moved to Island Gardens yacht harbor. Yes, meaning it actually took place on a yacht.
Better Launch Shit on Yachts…
Probably a reason why Rust Pink is cashing in on $4,220 on average. And our main man the snowman at $4,215. But we gotta tell you that shit sold for eight grand a while ago in May. So, them averages don’t mean that’s all you’ll get out of a lucky pair. But copping with the best Nike bot in the market does mean you’ll get lucky with more than one pair.
Jordan 1 Igloo & Crimson Tint
This year, the Jordan 1 Igloo gets a shorter retro with a Mid version. And so does Rust Pink. Which now goes by the name of “Crimson Tint.” Whatever snows in the big bucks, Jordan team. Even if the Igloo colorway specifically labels for “Island Green.” We cool. The front section of both sneakers features a white base and black overlays. But the catchy bit is that they cut the black out at the third level of the eyelets. And the back section crushes those Island Green/Crimson Tint overlays. So do the Swooshes this time. Best Jordan 1 colorways?
The Jordan 1 Igloo will drop in women’s and kids’ sizes for a retail price of $115/$65. Whereas the Jordan 1 Crimson Tint will also drop in adult and kids’ sizes for a retail price of $110. Stay posted here for release date updates!
Where’s the Magic?
We’ve been trying to figure out what makes this pair so damn special since 2017. And it’s two things (apart from their mind-blowing resale). First thing is that they display a sharp glow. And you don’t see that often. Glow is associated with mushy beamy goodness. And sharp is the exact opposite. Kind of like the letters X and O. But Air Jordan brings both worlds together into XOXO. Reason number two is the feel the two colorways create together. Either cotton candy or sunset skating. So, your brain automatically feels good just looking at them. Who knew the Jordan team had a degree in mental therapy.
